Eric Woodward, OD

Dr. Eric Woodward graduated from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee in 2018. Dr. Woodward completed his undergraduate studies at the College of Southern Idaho and at Brigham Young University – Idaho. Dr. Woodward chose the field of optometry early in his undergraduate program after discovering he was fascinated with the mechanics of vision.
While attending Southern College of Optometry, he was awarded the Mauldin Family Scholarship for clinical excellence and was an active member of the Optometric Private Practice Club. He completed his externships at Eglin Air Force Base in Fort Walton Beach, Florida and at Family Eye Care Specialists, with locations in Nampa, Middleton, and Caldwell, Idaho. Dr. Woodward is an active member of the American Optometric Association and Idaho Optometric Physicians. He loves his profession and works hard to make sure the eye care he provides is evidence-based and cutting edge.
In his free time, Dr. Woodward enjoys the mountains, swimming, wakeboarding, hiking, camping, snowboarding, golfing and almost anything that involves nature. His favorite past-time is being with his wife and children – two daughters and one son. Both Dr. Woodward and his wife were raised nearby in Paul, Idaho. Both of their extended family are scattered throughout Northern Utah and Southern Idaho. Dr. Woodward is happy to be a part of the Oregon Trail Eye Care team and is enjoying living in Southeastern Idaho.


Jeffrey Collins, OD

Dr. Jeffrey Collins was raised in the mid-west, spending most of his youth in a small farming town in Eastern South Dakota. After high school, he attended Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah before serving a full-time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Ventura, California. While on his mission, his family moved to Logan, Utah. After his mission, he completed his undergraduate coursework at Utah State University. It was there that he met his wife, Holly, a Cache Valley native. They moved their family to Columbus, Ohio in 2002. He went on to complete his Doctor of Optometry degree at The Ohio State University.
Dr. Collins and his family are huge Buckeye fans. After completion of his optometry degree in 2006, they moved to Georgetown and began his career working at his two offices in Montpelier and Soda Springs. In 2016, they moved to Bern and have remained there since. He and his family enjoy the great outdoors. He loves his horses, motorcycles and exploring new places. He loves any activity that can be done with his family, which includes his 5 children, 3 children-in-law and his grandchildren.
